Parisa started playing piano at the age of 6. Prior to entering college to professionally pursue her career in music and piano performance, Parisa worked with different well known piano performers and teachers focusing on Western Classical and Eastern music. She received bachelor’s degree in piano performance from The University of Art and Architecture of Tehran in 2004. During her undergraduate studies she worked with different well-known Piano performers such as Gagik Babayn and Klara Bokuchava. She is currently pursuing her M.A. degree in Piano Performance at the University of Akron working with Dr. Mayumi Kikuchi and Prof. Philip Thomson.
Parisa is an experienced piano performer, both as a solo performer as well as a piano accompaniment, performing in different countries. Since moving to the United States in 2006, she has been focused on teaching piano to different students with different backgrounds in New York, Indiana and North East Ohio since 2015. Parisa is especially trained and experienced working with younger students. Following Russian Piano Teaching Philosophy, Parisa focuses on teaching performance fundamentals and performance postures, which is important for long term success in music and piano performance, while ensuring the young student is enjoying the experience. Living in different countries, Parisa is culturally sensitive and is experienced working with different students from different cultures and backgrounds.
Currently Parisa is living in Wadsworth/Copley area with her husband and a long hair Cat named Babzi!
