Jamie Vaughn has been teaching privately for over 7 years at many different music stores including the Akron and Medina area. She has experience with violinists and violists ranging from 5 to 80 years old. Jamie has also taught in the classroom setting at Norton Christian Academy. She teaches classical style, Irish fiddle and praise and worship music.
Jamie Vaughn has a Master's Degree in Viola performance from the University of Akron where she studied under Corey Smith.
She has won the reputable Tuesday Musical state wide competition for stringed instruments in 2009 for EJ Thomas Hall. She has also been awarded String Student of the year in her undergraduate studies at the University of Akron where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance. She has performed with the Transiberian Orchestra, Ohio Light Opera, and Ashland Symphony. She had the opportunity to attend the prestigious Meadow Mount School of Music in New York as well as the Mark O'Connor Strings Fiddle camp in Tennessee. She currently performs with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, Shepherd’s Pasture For All Nation’s Church praise team, the High Strung Celtic band, and The Classic Touch Strings.
