Ellie Kelly: Voice

Bachelor of Music, Voice Performance - Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music

Thank you for your interest in voice lessons! I am excited to get to know you and to share my expertise of singing and performing with you. I offer a complimentary trial lesson/interview before signing up for a recurring slot to ensure that we are a good fit for each other. I offer weekly 30 minute lessons both in-person and virtually, and can accommodate weekly 60 minute lessons for advanced students (prior approval required). I tailor lessons to each individual student based on their skill level and goals; whether you are longing to see your name scrolling a marquee on Broadway, interested in pursuing a career in music, or just love to sing for fun - my studio is the perfect choice for you!

My students are goal-oriented and passionate about performing. You will find them landing lead roles in their school musicals and in community theaters as well as participating in show choirs, competitions, and various ensembles including Shining Star CLE, bands, OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest, Ohio Youth Honors Choir, All State Choir, the Singing Angels, Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, and the Blossom Festival Chorus.

I specialize in Musical Theatre and Classical technique and repertoire with an emphasis on performance. Through repertoire, music theory, ear training, vocalises, breathing technique, performance and audition coaching, resume building, sight singing, and song study, my students master the skills necessary to become truly great performers who command the stage!

I studied Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at Baldwin-Wallace University, and have been teaching private voice lessons since 2014. I am an active performer in NE Ohio, and have been a featured singer with CityMusic Cleveland, the Brothers Lounge, and the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra in recent years. Musical Theatre is a true passion of mine, and some of my favorite roles include Anna Leonowens (The King & I), Marta (Company), Missy (The Marvelous Wonderettes), and April (Company). My favorite and most memorable experience was portraying Mary Poppins, where the Hudson Hub Times described me as “practically perfect as Mary Poppins, with her enigmatic and slightly mischievous smile and sweet voice.”

Outside of lessons and performing, I am passionate about traveling, baking pies, and spending time with my husband and our two dogs. Fun fact: my passion for baking pies was inspired by one of my favorite musicals (Waitress), and it started with baking my way through the book inspired by it!

I can’t wait to meet you and start our musical journey together!
