Soprano, Anna Allman is a graduate student and assistant at Kent State University, currently teaching Voice Classes for Non-Music Majors. Receiving her bachelor’s in vocal performance at Capital University in Columbus, OH, Anna has an extensive solo and choral background in classical and contemporary/rock.
Anna enjoys exploring different genres of music and wants to encourage her students to discover and appreciate their artistic and vocal individuality while maintaining versatility in vocal styles.
Anna has performed two world premiere pieces with the Chapel Choir, one being at Carnegie Hall, as well as performing with the Eagles as an ensemble member during their international tour of Hotel California in 2022. Anna was also one of the vocalists for the rock ensemble at Capital University. Recent performances at Kent State include Laetitia from The Old Maid and the Thief, Tweedle Dee from Alice and Wonderland through the Nightengale Opera Company and Rosina from excerpts in The Barber of Seville.
In addition to vocal practice, Anna expresses her passions and hobbies in photography, writing, and hiking.
